You are welcome to download any baptism material
A lay member visits the family in the week immediately following the baptism with a congratulations card, a church magazine and the following letter. You will need to fill in the blanks and do the usual edit and replace!
We're delighted to have shared in Matthew's baptism and we welcome him as our very newest church member.
This note is just to introduce BLANK as your church contact. From time to time we have activities that are suitable for children and we would like to invite you to bring Matthew along. At such times it's nice to have a face that you know, or someone to go with.
It isn't always easy bringing up children, so we want you to know that if you should ever need a listening ear, just give BLANK a ring. Her number is BLANK and she's a good listener! Obviously we have no intention of intruding in any way, but just want you to know that we're around if you need us. One of the clergy is always available in the church rooms on a Saturday morning and there's never any need to make an appointment.
We also want to mention that we have a Family Service at 9.30am on the first Sunday morning of each month (look for the board on the tree) which is suitable for all ages, even tiny ones like Matthew, and we would love to welcome you to that. It's the sort of service where it doesn't matter at all if the children are restless or make a noise.
On the second Sunday of the month at 4.00pm, we have "Inspire", which is another very informal service and also suitable for all ages. Again, check with the board on the tree.
Of course, you're all welcome to come to church whenever you wish, but these two services are especially designed with younger people in mind.
Last year we had a Teddy Bears' Picnic for little people, so watch out for suitable events especially for children. We'll let you know when there's anything on. We do have other social events throughout the year and they're always advertised in the village magazine.
So welcome to the church - on our part we're looking forward to watching Matthew grow into a handsome young man!
